The Villagers Are Angry

First of Three Videos of 'Mo Burnings' Released Today in Denmark.

A group in Denmark burned three effigies of Mohammed (instead of a witch) at the traditional midsummer festival in an unnamed location.
Since then the group that burned the effigies of the Prophet has contacted SIAD, who kindly uploaded a video of the event.

The next video will be released on July 23 and the final one on August 23.
Those Danes made quite a production of the bonfire β€” the soundtrack has β€œLight My Fire” on it…

Very witchy. Love the organ.

Full report and translation at: Gates of Vienna

After 57,000 viewings the video has been removed from YouTube. If you would like to see it, please go here.

Seems kind of creepy to me.

In defeating our enemies I don't think we need to engage or support this kind of agitprop.

It brings us down to their level of absurdity.

I see what you mean, Tony. Seeing anything burn, particularly an effigy, even if it is an effigy of a cartoon of a dead man, namely Mohammed.

But on the other hand I understand the Danes' frustration. They were given hell over a cartoon. They also have very real problems with the extremists in Denmark.

Frustration is something I understand personally quite well.

And I have learned, sometimes in difficult ways that to emulate the tactics of your enemies is to diminish your own cause, particularly when much of the conflict takes the form of ideas, images, and words.

Oh yes! I know it very well myself personally. I have in the worst situation kept my head and was the perfect gentleman throughout. It does pay off. The high road.

Here, they are blowing off steam.

The worst of our enemies will require extreme force.

Of course we will hear the standard elitism from the usual sources about the backwardness of rural folk.Of course this sensitivity is not extended to those of us who are annoyed at Commies burning the US Flag.
